Tauranga Boys' CollegeSpotswood College - Senior curriculum book
- Use of a 'ghost' markbook in KAMAR so that students can get subject endorsement (i.e. their 14 science credits could come from 3 different courses)
Rolleston College

- Y10 themes: Inception | Risk | Disruption | Adventure
- Science lab as a bookable space (like library, theatre etc)
Kelston Girls College
- No subjects or departments
- Puna Ako - like a form class
- Kaupapa Ako - learning sparks
- Ako ako - Ss will go and do....
- Mentor time: 10 min check in (1 teacher, 12-15 mentees): "What are you going to do in the next block".
- Timetable on Friday for following week to choose Kaupapa Ako.
- Co-curricular as part of weekly timetable.
- Use Trello to source help from other teachers with assessing standards outside of own expertise (1 board per subject area e.g. English, Maths, Science, Technology,). Have Trello time for learning mapping.
- Use LincEd instead of KAMAR. Real time reporting that parents can access.. Teacher posts, tagged with 'learning dispositions', 'learning areas' and even their own learning goal. These tags then form the Student Dashboard showing curriculum coverage and progression in disposition.
- Can also record pastoral incidents - these are picked up by the puna ako teacher
- Use Wunderlist to manage briefings (10 mins each day), systems (longer)
- Ao Tawhiti is a similar school
- Individual Tailored Learning Plan. Presented to the whole kura (I want to be...., My Exit strategy is....)
- Graduate Profile
- Conditioning - passion, purpose, perspiration
- Project based learning - on a Wednesday. Project lasts 2 terms. Have driving question and set tasks along the way. Assessment fell out of end product.
- Parent teacher night is replace by 'project night'.
- Plan, Pitch, Produce, Present your Passion. Assessed via 6 criteria marked out of 4 (/24)

Lessons for Inquiry:
- Replace parent teacher evening with 'Project Night' where students present their projects.
- Theme for Y10, thems per term (see Rolleston College)
- Individual Learning plans
- Graduation Profile (see KKC example)
- Real time reporting (maybe Seesaw or LincEd)
- Loosen up the Inquiry model - think projects with wider scope. Re-jig the Question | Investigate | Create | Iterate rubric. Track progress in Reading/Writing/Maths with PACT tool.
